Empowering People and Partnerships for Everyday Climate Action

The UK Carbon Code of Conduct (UKCCC) unites carbon credibility, nature-based solutions, and community empowerment under one trusted national framework.

Making Climate Action Part of Everyday Life

Our goal is to make climate action part of everyday life, whether on farms, in schools, local businesses, or in city and rural communities by ensuring every initiative is measurable, transparent, and aligned with the UK’s climate and nature recovery targets.

Through collaboration and diverse partnerships across public, private, and community sectors, the UKCCC assists local people, businesses and organisations take meaningful, evidence-based action.

Engaging Communities and Land Managers

We enable communities to measure, understand, and reduce their carbon emissions, and support farmers and land managers to deliver verified carbon credits and biodiversity gains. We equip young people and local leaders with the sustainability and resilience skills needed for the future green economy.

Our approach is built on partnership, participation, and proof. The UKCCC provides the tools, training, and assurance that help communities and organisations work together confidently, building trust and turning local passion into lasting, evidence-based impact.

We engage and empower new people to get involved in and connect to climate solutions, especially people from communities affected by poverty, discrimination, and disadvantage, ensuring their experiences shape and benefit from a just transition.

Connecting Local Action to National Standards

By connecting everyday actions to credible national standards, the UKCCC creates a pathway for lasting change. We prioritise:

Together, we are empowering people, enabling partnerships, and ensuring every action counts towards a credible, nature-positive, and low-carbon future.
